An Evening ‘Round the Campfire
October 19, 2019
Camp Conrad-Chinnock hosts its annual Evening ‘Round the Campfire fundraiser at the Disneyland Grand Californian Hotel on October 19,2019. Gather with us around our “campfire” for singing, dancing, skits, and an opportunity to connect with your extended camp family as we raise critical funds to support the operation and rebuilding of camp. More information for the event can be found at www.RoundTheCampfire.org.
Another important aspect of raising critical funds from camp is the silent auction. Do you know a friend, family member, or business that could donate any items or services? Popular items to donate include...Vacation Getaways , Books, Tickets to Social, Cultural, Family or Athletic Events, Electronics, Themed Gift Baskets, Autographed Sports Items, Spa Treatments, Jewelry, Hotel and Time-Share Stays, Original Artwork, Gift Certificates to Restaurants or Stores, and Exclusive and unique items are always a favorite!
Donations are tax-deductible and you can use this Silent Auction packet to solicit donations. For more information, please contact the camp office.
For more than 60 years, Camp Conrad Chinnock has been a safe haven for thousands of people looking for a fun and educational summer camp experience in a safe and supportive environment. Your generous support will help us to continue the work of helping children and their families living with type 1 diabetes every day. If you are willing to demonstrate your support, or want to recognize your favorite camper, we ask you to consider purchasing an ad in the event program or becoming a sponsor. For sponsorship or event program information, please contact Melanie Coyne at 310-751-3057.
Domenigoni Ranch Charity Ride for Diabetes
The greatest trail ride in Riverside County is here again! Saddle up and don’t dally around. The Twelfth Domenigoni Ranch Charity Ride for Diabetes is coming to Winchester on Saturday, May 4, 2019. This is the best, old fashioned, country trail ride, western barbecue and foot stompin’ dance around, with the proceeds benefiting those living with diabetes in our community.
Since 1993, the Domenigoni Family, friends, and sponsors have hosted an event designed to provide funding for research and programs for diabetes in their community in Riverside County. The event is hosted bi-annually with the assistance of dedicated sponsors and volunteers.
Why participate in the ride and/or barbecue? To help the American Diabetes Association, in their community support programs and research for a cure, and Diabetes Camping and Educational Services, in their effort to support children with diabetes through their family camp programs.
To participate in the ride or attend the barbecue, go to www.DomenigoniCharityRide.org .
Family Winter Camp

Because Diabetes is a condition impacting the entire family, Diabetes Camping and Educational Services, Inc. program enables families to learn about diabetes and share common experiences with other families in a fun and supportive environment. Our top notch program includes workshops on diabetes, parenting issues for adults, stress management, and activities for the whole family.
Medical staff is on-site throughout the entire session. All meals and snacks are carefully planned and provided.
Family camps begin at lunch, run for three (3) nights, and conclude after breakfast on the final day. Generally, approximately two families, depending on each of their sizes, share a cabin during family camps.
